Neither drawing holds the whole example set beside a 30 inch walkway.
The 5 × 5 leaves out sofa, dresser, 2 boxes and bike. The 5 × 10 leaves out sofa, dresser and 2 boxes.
The example items together cover about 52 square feet of floor, more than a 5 × 5 or a 5 × 10 has, so some stay out even before the walkway is counted. Stacking is not drawn.
A 5 foot wide space gives up half of its width to a 30 inch walkway. A smaller collection, or things you reach from the doorway, can still make sense. Try your own list in the planner.
