The software suggests. You check, correct and decide. A photo can suggest items and rough sizes, but it cannot measure your furniture, so every suggestion is yours to change.

Take a photo of each area, pick the rooms you are clearing, type a list or just describe it. No photo or account is needed to start, and every way fills the same list.
Check the suggested list
Each item starts at a typical size for that kind of thing, and the software tags how sure it is. Estimates are marked as estimates. Change a count or remove anything you are not storing.
Correct what is off
Open an item’s size and type what you measured. In this example the L-shaped couch is a shorter L than the typical one, so its depth goes from 84 to 60 inches. Anything you change counts as your measurement.
See your starting size and what it assumes
Find my size turns the list into a suggested starting size. Your numbers change the answer: this example list gives 5 × 10 ft with your corrected couch, and 10 × 10 ft with the couch at its suggested size.
What a starting size assumes
- It uses the sizes on your list: a typical size for anything you did not change, and your own number for anything you did.
- It is a planning estimate. Measure large items and check room to move.
- The 3D view lets you test an arrangement. It does not guarantee fit.
- Check the actual unit door and inside dimensions before you choose a space. The location confirms the real space.
- A plan or a request does not book storage.

How do I estimate the storage size I need?
Start with photos, a room or a typed list. Check the items and sizes we suggest, then compare how much floor they need. Leave room for safe stacking, padding and the things you want to reach. The 3D planner lets you try a layout, but it cannot promise everything fits.
Do I need a photo or an account to start?
No. You can choose rooms, describe your things or type a list without a photo or an account. Start a plan in this browser, then make an account if you want to keep it with your other plans and open it on another device.
Can a photo measure my furniture exactly?
No. A photo can spot common items and guess their size, but it can miss hidden things and get sizes wrong. Check every suggestion, and measure big or odd-shaped pieces yourself. Before you pick a unit, check its real door and inside size.
Are the photos I use for an estimate saved?
No. Photos you use here are only read to suggest items. They are not saved to your account. Adding a photo to a saved item later is a separate step. You can also start with a room or a typed list.
